Welcome from the Director

Greetings from the Office of Educational Innovation and Evaluation, most commonly known as OEIE. This is an exciting time to be involved in the field of evaluation. As the pressure for accountability increases, the demand for efficiency and effectiveness rises, and the need to determine the specific impacts from projects and programs grows. The value and importance of quality evaluation is even more critical than ever before. Given these increasing demands, our office has positioned itself to be flexible, proactive, and action seeking to address these challenges in collaboration with our clients and funders.

middendorf Over the years, we have customized our definition of “evaluation services” to encompass the full range of needs from program development, modification, and continuous improvement through strategic planning, program evaluation, and capacity building. We serve a wide variety of audiences from local, state, national, and international organizations. We approach evaluation as a collaborative process with our clients as we assist with procuring and sustaining funding, provide sound and informative evaluations that integrate technology, and ultimately work to enhance program capacity and impact.

Our team-oriented approach to evaluation is built around the seamless integration of our three major hallmarks: evaluation, technology, and development. Our development team includes veteran proposal writers who work with faculty, researchers, and/or clients to integrate a solid evaluation plan into proposals. Once funded, our evaluation professionals then work in collaboration with our clients to implement this plan. Our team of technology experts includes experienced web and database developers who work closely with the evaluation team to integrate the most efficient use of technology.

I am privileged to lead such an outstanding multidisciplinary team, which includes professionals from a variety of disciplines including education, business and administration, science, technology, mathematics, engineering, agriculture, psychology, public policy, sociology, human development, and journalism.

We are a service-oriented team committed to designing and implementing the best evaluation plan possible. If you are interested in program improvement, need a team of evaluation experts, or would like more information about the variety of services we provide, please contact us. We look forward to hearing from you!
